ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Antonio

WHERE I COME FROM
I’ve shared my story on the homepage, but here I want to reflect more on the values and experiences that continue to shape who I am today.
I’m the youngest of five siblings, two brothers and two sisters, and I come from a big, loving family of seven, including my parents. Growing up in a household full of different personalities and stories taught me the importance of community, support, and looking out for one another.
My Roots and Early Influences
From a young age, I’ve been surrounded by people who believed in helping others. I attended Calvary Christian School through 5th grade, where giving and service were built into everyday life, from participating in Operation Christmas Child to learning about global needs and how small acts of kindness can make a difference. Looking back, I think that early exposure shaped me more than I realized at the time.
At home, my family modeled that same spirit of care. We partnered with Safe Families for Children, a foster care style organization that supports families during difficult times, and hosted a one-year-old named Elijah. What started as a short placement turned into nearly a full year. Watching him grow and being part of his life was one of the most meaningful experiences we have had, and it deepened my belief in showing up for others in big and small ways.
One day that really sticks in my memory is when my mom took me and my sister to Chicago to hand out lunches we had packed ourselves, sandwiches, water, crackers, and dessert we made. I am not sure why that day stands out so much, but I love it and hope to carry on that tradition in my own family one day.
As I got older, I kept seeking out ways to serve. I volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, helping pack meals for children around the world. These early moments helped me understand that community care is not about credit or attention, it is about being consistent, compassionate, and willing to do the work.
MISSION STATEMENT
Today, I stay involved in local causes while studying marketing at Columbia State. Whether I am helping at the shelter, attending local events, or simply connecting with others, I believe that real change comes from being present, from caring enough to show up even when no one is watching.
